Two journalists had been arrested and three others detained on Wednesday for his or her alleged try to malign Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma after they shared a photograph of him alongside along with his daughter with a “salacious intent”, the police mentioned.

The web site later apologised for not mentioning that the lady within the picture was the minister’s daughter and blamed others for sharing it with the intent to defame Mr Sarma.
The information outlet obtained backlash for the intent to share the picture in such a means with Mr Sarma retweeting it and mentioning that it was him and his daughter.
The police mentioned they’re investigating the matter to determine these behind the submit going viral.
