2 Of Family Killed, Four Injured In Lightning Strike In Jharkhand: Police

Gumla, Jharkhand:

Two members of a household have been killed and 4 others, together with an toddler, suffered accidents on Sunday when lightning struck them in a paddy area in Gumla district, the police mentioned.

The incident passed off in Jakjore village below Basia police station this night, they mentioned.

Durga Singh (45) and his daughter Pushpa Kumari (18) died on the spot after being struck by lightning within the area, police official (Basia), Vikash Anand Laguri, mentioned.

Durga Singh’s spouse Sahodara Devi, daughters Bharti Kumari (8) and Punita Kumari (5), and a two-month-old toddler have been injured, he mentioned, including, they have been rushed to a hospital.

In one other incident, one individual was killed and 10 others have been injured after a truck stuffed with LPG cylinders collided with an autorickshaw on Kandra-Seraikela street below Seraikela-Kharswan district on Sunday, police mentioned.

Although the driving force of the truck managed to flee, the car has been impounded.

The injured are present process therapy at a hospital, they mentioned.
