2 Tamil Nadu Residents Kidnapped From Delhi Rescued: Police

The Haryana Police on Saturday mentioned it has rescued two males hailing from Tamil Nadu, who had been kidnapped, and arrested 5 individuals in reference to the incident.

In a joint operation with the Particular Cell of the Delhi Police, a group of the Haryana Police’s Particular Activity Drive (STF) rescued Vilvapathy (56) and Vinoth Kumar (28) from the nationwide capital.

Whereas Mr Vilvapathy is the managing director of Shri Jaikrishna Textiles in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul, Mr Vinoth works because the accounts supervisor within the firm.

The STF, in an official launch issued right here, mentioned it has arrested Asif Hussain and Mohammad Karim, each residents of West Bengal, and Ok Jirvani Babu, Mohammad Azad and Sonu, residents of Delhi, in reference to the incident.

The accused lured the duo on the pretext of giving them an enormous supply contract of yarn and requested them to carry samples of their uncooked materials.

When the 2 businessmen got here to satisfy the accused, they had been kidnapped by the latter, who took them to a residential flat in Delhi, the police mentioned.

The accused additionally made ransom calls to the households of the 2 males, demanding Rs 50 lakh in money. They threatened to kill them if the cash was not paid.

An FIR was registered on this regard on the Thadikombu police station in Dindigul on July 8.  After getting details about the kidnapping of Mr Vilvapathy and Mr Vinoth from the Tamil Nadu Police on July 8, the Haryana Police launched a search operation. It traced the abductors and rescued the 2 businessmen from Delhi’s Vishnu Backyard.
