The Authorities of Andhra Pradesh has launched the ‘Digi-Lakshmi’ scheme to digitally empower city poor girls by establishing 9,034 Frequent Service Centres (CSCs) throughout all City Native Our bodies (ULBs) within the State.
The G.O. MS. No. 117 on this regard was issued by S. Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and City Improvement (MA&UD) on Monday (June 30, 2025).
These Frequent Service Centres might be managed by eligible Self-Assist Group (SHG) girls and are a part of the federal government’s ‘One Household, One Entrepreneur’ (OF-OE) imaginative and prescient aimed toward transitioning SHGs into Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
Every centre, designed as a standardised ‘ATOM Kiosk’, will provide round 250 public companies. The scheme mandates that Digi-Lakshmi operators be SHG members with at the least three years of lively involvement, aged between 21 and 40 years, married, settled of their operational areas, and maintain a graduate diploma with technical aptitude.
The G.O. authorised the Mission Director of MEPMA to execute the programme. The MEPMA will facilitate coaching and monetary assist, enabling girls to safe loans of ₹2 to ₹2.5 lakh to ascertain their centres.
