Bengaluru: Apnaklub, a business-to-business wholesale platform for fast-moving client items, has raised $3.5 million in seed funding from Sequoia Surge, the marquee investor’s accelerator programme for startups in India and Southeast Asia.
With this, the Bengaluru-based firm has raised a complete of $5 million.
“This funding will allow us to increase throughout extra rural areas in India in addition to enhance our vary of companies and merchandise for our companions,” Apnaklub’s Chief Working Officer Manish Kumar stated.
Based in July 2019 by Shruti and Manish Kumar, Apnaklub connects retailers, equivalent to ‘kirana’ and common shops in semi-urban and rural areas, to a variety of client items and types by way of its community of digitally-connected wholesale companions. Its agent-led resolution, referred to as the Apnaklub Companion Programme, at present has greater than 5,000 wholesalers.
