The Assam Authorities on Saturday (September 20, 2025) declared three days of state mourning over singer Zubeen Garg’s demise in Singapore.

Chief Secretary Ravi Kota made the announcement in a publish on X. “The Authorities of Assam expresses deep shock and sorrow on the passing of Shri Zubeen Garg, eminent singer, filmmaker and cultural icon,” he mentioned.
