A periods court docket in Mumbai has upheld the conviction of actor Aditya Pancholi in a 2005 parking assault case however modified the one-year jail time period handed by a Justice of the Peace and ordered his launch on a bond of excellent behaviour.
The periods court docket, nonetheless, directed the 59-year-old actor to pay a compensation of Rs 1.5 lakh to assault case sufferer Pratik Pashine for availing the advantage of launch below the Probation of Offenders Act.
The Metropolitan Justice of the Peace (Andheri) had in November 2016 convicted the actor below IPC part 325 (voluntarily inflicting grievous harm) and sentenced him to one-year easy imprisonment for assaulting Pashine over a parking dispute in 2005.
Pancholi appealed towards his conviction and sentencing within the case.
