The central authorities on Saturday knowledgeable that avian influenza or chook flu has been confirmed in 9 states for poultry birds and in 12 states for the crow, migratory and wild birds until January 24.
“Until January 24 outbreaks of Avian Influenza (Fowl flu) have been confirmed in 9 States (Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab) for poultry birds and in 12 states (Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab) for Crow/Migratory/ Wild birds,” knowledgeable the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
The ministry additional mentioned, “Avian influenza has been confirmed in poultry samples from Sawargaon and Ujana Darwha of Yavatmal district of Maharashtra and crow pattern from Delhi’s Jamia Hamdard College.”
“Nonetheless, the pigeon and rosefinch samples submitted from Tehri and Paukhal Forest Vary of Uttarakhand have been discovered unfavorable for avian influenza,” it added.
Submit Operation Surveillance Plan (POSP) has been issued for one epicenter for Kerala, three epicenters for Madhya Pradesh, and 5 epicenters for Maharashtra.
Management and Containment Operations (Cleansing and Disinfection) are happening in the remainder of the affected epicenters of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Uttarakhand.
Compensation is paid to farmers whose poultry birds, eggs and poultry feed are culled/disposed of by the state as per the motion plan.
“The Division of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), Authorities of India supplies funds to states / UTs on a 50:50 sharing foundation underneath Help to States for management of animal illnesses (ASCAD) part of its Livestock Well being and Illness Management Scheme,” the ministry mentioned.
“All states are reporting to the Division every day relating to the management measures adopted by them based mostly on the Revised Motion Plan for Prevention, Management and Containment of Avian Influenza 2021,” it added.
