Bengal’s lockdown tokenism or effective?


A political controversy has erupted over West Bengal’s bi-weekly lockdown. In the wake of a fast rise in COVID-19 circumstances in Bengal, the state authorities has introduced that this week’s bi-weekly lockdown might be imposed on July 23 and 25.

The administration has determined to impose a twice-a- week lockdown within the state until August to stem the rise in COVID-19 circumstances. The state’s caseload rose to 47,030 and demise toll mounted to 1,182 until Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the BJP has questioned the West Bengal govt over why there is no such thing as a lockdown on Friday.
