BharatPe’s founder Ashneer Grover says audio clip shared on Twitter is fake


Bengaluru: BharatPe cofounder and CEO Ashneer Grover on Thursday tweeted saying an audio clip circulating on social media, which allegedly has him speaking to a financial institution govt, is faux. Grover went on so as to add that “some scamster” is making an attempt to extort funds ($240,000 in Bitcoins) by way of this clip.

On Wednesday night, an nameless deal with on Twitter–’bongo babu’– had put up a SoundCloud hyperlink which had Grover allegedly hurling expletives to an worker of Kotak Mahindra Financial institution. The audio recording steered the argument between Grover, his spouse and the unidentified financial institution consultant, was because of the BharatPe founder lacking out on share allotment throughout Nykaa’s IPO.

“Of us. Chill! It’s a FAKE audio by some scamster making an attempt to extort funds (US$ 240K in bitcoins). I refused to buckle. I’ve received extra character. And Web has received sufficient scamsters :)” Grover’s tweet stated on Thursday morning.

Grover additionally shared screenshots of emails searching for cash. BharatPe is valued at $2.85 billion and counts Tiger World, Perception Companions, amongst others as its buyers.
