Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta as we speak stated she noticed a person in a automotive throwing a ‘roti’ at a cow to feed it and requested him to not do it because it forces the stray cattle to come back onto the street, endangering their lives and the folks on the street. She stated that ‘roti’ is not only meals however a “image of our tradition, religion and respect”.
Ms Gupta posted the video of her interplay with the person on X and requested Delhiites to not throw ‘roti’ or any meals on the street.
The video reveals the Bharatiya Janata Occasion (BJP) chief, a first-time MLA, approaching the person and introducing herself. She then requested him, with folded fingers, to not feed stray cattle.

“Throwing roti on the street forces cows and different animals to come back there to eat, which not solely endangers their lives but in addition endangers the security of individuals and autos strolling on the street,” Ms Gupta wrote in Hindi.
“Meals shouldn’t be disrespected. If you wish to feed animals, please achieve this at a gaushala (cow shelter) or a delegated place. It is a signal of our sensitivity, duty and values,” she added.

Ms Gupta’s attraction comes weeks after her convoy was halted for almost quarter-hour on the Haiderpur flyover after a group of cattle strayed onto the road. The chief minister was seen stepping out of her automotive to examine on the animals. Her safety personnel then intervened to make sure they had been safely moved apart.
Ms Gupta, who grew to become the chief minister after the BJP fashioned the federal government in Delhi after greater than 26 years by defeating the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), then issued directions to supply correct shelter for the stray cattle within the space.
An allocation of Rs 40 crore has additionally been made for establishing a ‘Mannequin Gaushala’ (fashionable cow shelter) in Delhi’s annual price range.
