Devendra Fadnavis Meets Amit Shah, Says “No Operation Lotus In Maharashtra”

Senior BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis on Friday mentioned no “Operation Lotus” was taking place in Maharashtra because the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) authorities will collapse by itself on account of its “internal contradictions”.

Mr Fadnavis made this assertion whereas talking to reporters in New Delhi, after a gathering with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The former Maharashtra Chief Minister claimed that his assembly with Amit Shah was “non-political” because it was geared toward searching for monetary help for the sugar business within the state.

He mentioned he additionally briefed Mr Shah in regards to the coronavirus state of affairs within the state and sought time from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apprise him of the state of affairs.

Talking in regards to the assembly, Mr Fadnavis mentioned, “There was no political discussion. We are not interested in destabilising the state government…Time is now to fight coronavirus.”

“There is no ‘Operation Lotus’ in Maharashtra…We have already said that the government is full of internal contradictions and when it falls because of it, we will see,” he mentioned.

BJP leaders Harshvardhan Patil, Dhananjay Mahadik, Ranjit Sinh Mohite, MLA Jaykumar Gore, MP Ranjit Nimbalkar, and Vinay Kore of Jansurajya Shakti Party, an ally of BJP, accompanied Mr Fadnavis through the assembly with Amit Shah.
