Bilkis Bano, the octogenarian who turned the face of the months-long anti-citizenship regulation protest within the capital’s Shaheen Bagh locality, was on Tuesday stopped by Delhi Police from becoming a member of the continued farmers’ agitation in opposition to the Centre’s new agricultural legal guidelines.
“We’re daughters of farmers, we’ll go to assist farmers’ protest at present. We are going to increase our voice, the federal government ought to hearken to us,” Ms Bano informed ANI earlier than she heading for the Delhi-Haryana border.
Ms Bano, popularly often called the Shaheen Bagh dadi, was, nonetheless, stopped by the police on the border level at Singhu.
