A thief obtained caught in a wall gap whereas escaping with 9 grams of silver which he stole from the Jami Ellama temple in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, stated a police official on Wednesday.
A theft case has been registered towards the accused beneath Kanchili police station limits within the Srikakulam district.
“A thief recognized as Papa Rao stole 9 grams of silver from the Jami Ellama temple in Srikakulam district. He made a gap within the wall of the temple premises and entered contained in the temple. He obtained caught into the opening whereas going again. The thief was caught red-handed and has been taken into custody,” stated Senior Inspector Chiranjeevi, Kanchili Police Station.
Yellama, the temple proprietor stated that the thief was seen throwing the nostril ring of the goddess and different silver ornaments out of the opening.
