IndiGo Flight To Delhi Suffers Bird Hit After Takeoff, Returns To Guwahati

A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight from Guwahati returned to Guwahati airport as a consequence of a suspected chicken hit after the takeoff on Sunday.

“IndiGo Airbus A320neo (VT-ITB) working flight 6E 6394 from Guwahati-Delhi returned to Guwahati airport, as a consequence of a suspected chicken hit after takeoff. All passengers have been accommodated on one other flight to Delhi. The plane is being held on the bottom for obligatory inspections,” the IndiGo stated in a press release.

This was a 3rd such incident in a day when a flight made an emergency touchdown.

Earlier on Sunday night, a Jabalpur-bound SpiceJet flight landed again on the Delhi Airport after it didn’t regain the cabin strain differential even after attaining a top of 6,000 ft.

Based on a press release by the spokesperson of the airline, the cabin strain differential was unable to be constructed up because the altitude of the cabin rose from the bottom.
