iPhone Supplier Foxconn’s Workers Said to Be Hospitalised With Food Poisoning


A number of staff of a Foxconn India unit, which makes iPhones for Apple, had been hospitalised on Saturday after a bout of meals poisoning, a supply acquainted with the matter stated.

The meals poisoning occurred earlier this week at Foxconn’s dormitories, the place a majority of its workers lives, stated a second supply. A bulk of the Taiwanese producer’s workforce is ladies.

It was not instantly clear what number of staff are significantly ailing and whether or not the incident would disrupt manufacturing on the plant in Sriperumbudur, which is on the outskirts of the southern metropolis of Chennai.

Foxconn didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
