A former BJP MP has misplaced his son in Lucknow’s SGPGI Hospital, allegedly attributable to scarcity of beds on the Emergency Ward. The grieving father sat on a protest on the ward together with his son’s lifeless physique, until the federal government suspended the physician in query and promised additional motion.
Bhairon Prasad Mishra’s son, 41-year-old Prakash Mishra, was affected by a kidney ailment and was taken to the SGPGI’s Emergency ward round 11 PM yesterday. Mr Mishra claims no mattress was out there and the Emergency medical officer did nothing to assist. His son died shortly after, the previous MP has claimed.
Later, Mr Mishra — who represented Banda in parliament — sat on a protest outdoors the Emergency ward together with his son’s physique.
“I’ve misplaced my son, however I sat there so these guys fall in line. After me, some 20-25 folks obtained the remedy… After I was sitting on protest all people was complaining about him. He needs to be punished,” he advised reporters.
The hospital authorities have promised strict motion and fashioned a three-member committee to research the matter.
“The physician stated to him to take him to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). However there have been no beds out there. Do not know why it was stated… We have now fashioned a committee. Strict motion will likely be taken… The physician has been suspended as of now,” stated Dr RK Dhiman, the hospital chief.
Samajwadi Social gathering chief Akhilesh Yadav hit out on the state’s BJP authorities over the incident. “It isn’t the hospital’s fault. However it’s the fault of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Why no budgets are being given to hospital?” he stated.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has promised strict motion and visited the chief at his dwelling. “That is an unlucky incident. A 3-member committee has been fashioned and the matter will likely be investigated totally,” he stated.
