Odisha attracted investment of ₹5.6 lakh crore, created 1.64 lakh jobs in 15 months, says CM

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Monday (September 15, 2025) stated his authorities had accredited 260 industrial initiatives, bringing in ₹5.6 lakh crore value of investments to the State, with the potential to generate 3.6 lakh jobs up to now 15 months since assuming workplace.

“Throughout this time, basis stones for 84 initiatives have been laid, which alone account for over ₹2 lakh crore funding and the creation of 1.64 lakh jobs,” Mr. Majhi stated whereas laying the muse stones nearly for 27 industrial initiatives throughout 12 districts on Monday (September 15, 2025).

The 27 initiatives concerned investments of greater than ₹25,000 crore and would create assured employment alternatives for over 52,000 youths, in keeping with the State Authorities.

“Each new funding coming to Odisha displays the rising belief of business homes within the State. Buyers’ confidence within the authorities’s insurance policies and dedication is growing, making Odisha a most popular vacation spot for industries,” Mr. Majhi stated.

The State was specializing in attracting investments within the manufacturing of high-value merchandise, aiming to make Odisha the manufacturing hub of japanese India, he stated.

“Odisha is steadily shifting up the manufacturing worth chain and creating merchandise able to competing in world markets,” Mr. Majhi stated.

State Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain stated that environment friendly governance and an industry-friendly surroundings had enabled Odisha to emerge as a number one State with immense industrial potential.
