On the fifth day of the annual Brahmotsavams, the deity of Lord Govindaraja was taken in a procession across the temple on a palanquin within the morning and the most-revered Garuda Vahanam within the night on Friday.

Wearing vibrant silk garments and dazzling jewels, the deity was dressed up as a damsel ‘Mohini’ and brought on a palanquin. Titled as ‘Mohini Avataram’, the procession drew the presence of a whole lot of religious, who provided prayers even the deity was paraded across the shrine.

Equally, the deity was mounted atop the ‘Garuda Vahanam’ and carried across the temple within the night.
