Karaikal:
Ilaiyankudi, a village in Puducherry’s Karaikal district, has achieved 100 per cent vaccination of all these aged 45 and above, in line with the District Collector Arjun Sharma.
With this, the village in Tirunallar space of the district has turn out to be the primary village within the Union Territory to realize the excellence, he stated.
Chatting with reporters after visiting the village, the Collector stated the small village has a complete of 64 folks aged 45 and above and all of them have now been totally vaccinated.
He stated the folks of the village cooperated with the officers of varied departments to realize this. Anganwadi staff too performed an essential function, he stated.
The Collector added that the district administration was specializing in rural areas to create consciousness on the significance of vaccination and was striving to realize 100 per cent vaccination in all different villages too.
In an official launch, Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan appreciated the Karaikal Collector for the achievement.
