Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Thursday demanded martyr standing for the 26 victims of the lethal Pahalgam assault and requested the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “respect the emotions of the households of those that misplaced their lives by giving honour to them.”
“I stand with the households of these killed within the Pahalgam assault of their grief and of their demand for martyr standing. The Prime Minister is requested to respect the emotions of the households of those that misplaced their lives on this tragedy by giving this honour to them,” the Congress chief wrote in a put up on X.

The Congress chief had posted a clips of his assembly in Kanpur with the household of Shubham Dwivedi, one of many victims of the April 22 assault in Pahalgam.
