Rahul Gandhi To Take Part In Protest Today In Punjab Against Farm Laws

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will journey to Punjab as we speak to take part in a protest in opposition to the brand new controversial farm legal guidelines.

The Congress MP from Kerala’s Wayanad will maintain a collection of public conferences with farmers within the state as a part of the “Kheti Bachao Yatra” (Shield the agricultural sector), which is aimed to focus on the Congress’ stand in opposition to these legal guidelines that had been cleared by the parliament final month amid fiery protests by the opposition.

He will even be holding a tractor rally as part of the primary day’s schedule of the three-day Yatra together with Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar and different social gathering leaders.

At 12 PM, Mr Gandhi is scheduled to carry a public assembly and launch a signature marketing campaign at Badhni Kalan in Moga district, about 170 km from Chandigarh.  He’ll then lead a “tractor rally” from Badhni Kalan to Jatpura.  Rahul Gandhi will conclude the yatra at Jatpura, Ludhiana, the place he’ll maintain a public assembly at 4 PM.

Rahul Gandhi’s go to to Punjab comes days after Amarinder Singh held a sit-in in opposition to the farm legal guidelines.
