Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will on Sunday (August 17, 2025) launch a yatra to spotlight the alleged assault on the individuals’s proper to vote by way of the Particular Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, a senior social gathering chief stated on Saturday (August 16, 2025).
Addressing a press convention in Patna, former state Congress president Akhilesh Prasad Singh stated Mr. Gandhi, the Chief of Opposition within the Lok Sabha, is more likely to be within the State for over a fortnight until the ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ concludes with a rally in Patna on September 1.
“Tomorrow, Mr. Gandhi will launch the yatra from Sasaram. All the mandatory permission has been obtained from the authorities involved. The yatra will construct a tempo in favour of the INDIA bloc forward of the meeting polls,” the Rajya Sabha MP stated.
Replying to a question, he stated Mr. Gandhi was more likely to “keep in Bihar for practically 15 days” to guide the yatra, which is able to cowl “25 districts of the State” with three “break days” on August 20, 25 and 31.
“At Sasaram, Rahul Gandhi is more likely to be joined by Tejashwi Yadav, the Chief of the Opposition in Bihar, apart from our different alliance companions, together with three Left events. For the ultimate rally in Patna on September 1, we’ll attempt to deliver leaders of as many like-minded events as potential,” Mr. Singh stated.
