S Jaishankar Attends Key Meeting In Dushanbe Amid Afghan Crisis


Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is representing India on the SCO international ministers’ assembly.

International ministers of India, China, Pakistan, and 5 different member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) started a key assembly of the grouping in Dushanbe on Wednesday with a give attention to the evolving state of affairs in Afghanistan.

Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is representing India on the SCO international ministers’ assembly.

The SCO, seen as a counterweight to NATO, is an eight-member financial and safety bloc and has emerged as one of many largest trans-regional worldwide organisations. India and Pakistan grew to become its everlasting members in 2017.

SCO was based at a summit in Shanghai in 2001 by the Presidents of Russia, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
