International ministers of India, China, Pakistan, and 5 different member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) started a key assembly of the grouping in Dushanbe on Wednesday with a give attention to the evolving state of affairs in Afghanistan.

Russian International Minister Sergey Lavrov, Chinese language International Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan International Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi are among the many contributors on the assembly.
The SCO, seen as a counterweight to NATO, is an eight-member financial and safety bloc and has emerged as one of many largest trans-regional worldwide organisations. India and Pakistan grew to become its everlasting members in 2017.
SCO was based at a summit in Shanghai in 2001 by the Presidents of Russia, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
India has proven eager curiosity in deepening its security-related cooperation with the SCO and its Regional Anti-Terrorism Construction (RATS) which particularly offers with points regarding safety and defence.
India was made an observer on the SCO in 2005 and has typically participated within the ministerial-level conferences of the grouping which focus primarily on safety and financial cooperation within the Eurasian area
