A soldier was killed in motion and three extra had been injured throughout a gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar.
The military’s 16 Corps in a publish on X stated the Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar was killed in motion in a joint counter-terror operation launched in Kishtwar’s Bhart Ridge on Saturday.
Naib Subedar Kumar was from the two Para (SF).
The anti-terror operation comes amid an intensified hunt because the killing of two village defence guards (VDGs) not too long ago. The newest encounter broke out round 11 am when joint search events of the military and the police intercepted terrorists in a forest, a couple of kilometres from the spot the place the bullet-riddled our bodies of VDGs Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar had been discovered.
A large search operation was launched within the forests of Kuntwara and Keshwan on Thursday night after the terrorists kidnapped and killed the VDGs.
