New Delhi:
A SpiceJet Boeing 737-800 jetliner – SG-960 – on a flight between Bengaluru and Guwahati broken three runway threshold lights because it touched down roughly 1,000 toes wanting the traditional touchdown zone on the runway.
There have been 155 on board, together with two pilots and 4 cabin crew.
“The flight was uneventful until method and [the] plane was cleared to land on runway 2. As per the pilot in command, as a consequence of low clouds on brief finals, he misplaced notion of altitude inflicting [a] excessive descent fee which led to landing on threshold, inflicting a tough touchdown,” stated a supply within the aviation regulator Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The plane was being flown by the co-pilot on the time of the incident. Each pilots have been de-rostered pending an investigation by the DGCA.
