Seven individuals, considered one of them an aged man, had been injured when a bear attacked them whereas they had been fetching water in Gajigarh village in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district on Tuesday morning, a forest division official stated.
The wild animal entered the tribal-dominated village round 7 am presumably searching for water and on discovering a supply, a water tank, the place a variety of native residents had been standing to gather water, it attacked them from behind, inflicting accidents to seven individuals, the official stated.

Among the many injured, 5, together with the aged, had been referred to the district hospital for remedy, Bairad’s deputy ranger Ashok Kumar Sharma stated.
“Probably, the bear reached the village searching for water as no wild animal had been ever noticed within the space,” Mr Sharma stated.
Bairad sub-range is positioned near the Kuno wildlife sanctuary and the bear might have come from there, he added.
