Three individuals have been burnt to demise and one other sustained accidents after a head-on collision between two lorries sparked a fireplace on nationwide freeway close to Maripeda in Mahabubabad district through the early hours of Friday (July 4, 2025).
The accident was reported at round 3.15 a.m.
In accordance with an official from the Maripeda police, a stone-laden lorry was en route from Vijayawada to Gujarat, whereas the opposite, transportig cattle, was travelling from Warangal in direction of Andhra Pradesh.
Police groups rushed to the spot upon receiving info and launched a rescue operation. The fireplace broke out in one of many lorry cabin, resulting in the demise of the motive force and helper from one lorry and one other from the opposite. Their identities are but to be ascertained.
An investigation is underway to find out the reason for the collision and subsequent fireplace.
