UP Minister Washes Hands At Shivling, Opposition Calls Him “Adharmi”

UP Minister Satish Sharma was caught on digital camera washing his fingers at a Shivling

Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh:

Uttar Pradesh Minister Satish Sharma confronted large flak from the Opposition in the present day after a video of him washing his fingers at a Shivling in Barabanki’s Lodheshwar Mahadev temple surfaced on-line.

The video confirmed the Minister of State for Meals and Civil Provides washing his fingers within the ‘argha‘, or the bottom of the Shivling, with the assistance of a priest.

The Congress and the Samajwadi Get together have demanded the minister’s resignation for “insulting Sanatan dharma”.

Nevertheless, Satish Sharma countered the allegations saying he did nothing unsuitable and that if he have been unsuitable, the priest would have stopped him.

Aditya Tiwari, the temple priest, mentioned that the minister had achieved nothing unsuitable and added that for the reason that minister had “prasad” in his hand, he helped him wash them within the “argha” of the Shivling.

“Minister Satish Sharma was holding sandalwood and different issues after performing the puja. When he requested to clean his fingers, they have been washed subsequent to the Shivling as a result of it was within the type of ‘prasad‘. There’s nothing unsuitable on this,” Mr Tiwari informed PTI.

The incident passed off on August 27, when Mr Sharma visited the temple with Public Works Division Minister Jitin Prasada.

Satish Sharma and Jitin Prasada have been within the Hetmapur village of Ramnagar tehsil to distribute aid materials to the flood victims and stopped to wish on the temple.

“The minister ought to know what he’s doing. Will we wash our fingers once we supply water and pay our respects? The minister has insulted Sanatan dharma,” UP Congress President Ajay Rai mentioned.

Congress chief Surendra Rajput mentioned Satish Sharma insulted Lord Shiva and should be sacked.

“Washing fingers within the ‘argha’ of the Shivling is an unrighteous act. Solely those that don’t care about Sanatan dharma can do that. The BJP minister has insulted Lord Shiva. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ought to sack him for this anti-religious act,” he mentioned.

Samajwadi Get together chief and former MLC Sunil Singh Sajan mentioned that if the chief had been from another caste, the BJP would have expelled him by now.

“When will Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expel this ‘adharmi (godless)’ minister? That is the actual character of the BJP. First, they are going to ask for votes within the identify of faith after which do such issues,” Mr Sajan mentioned.

The Opposition is unnecessarily blowing up the matter, Satish Sharma informed information company PTI.

“I’m a Sanatani Shiv bhakt (devotee). I do know very nicely what is correct and what’s unsuitable. The Opposition is unnecessarily blowing up the problem,” he mentioned.

“I did what I felt was proper. It was not my intention to harm anybody. Had I been unsuitable, the priest wouldn’t have washed my fingers,” the BJP minister added.
