A landslide in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh has led to a block on the Nationwide Freeway 5 that connects Firozpur in Punjab with Shipki La on the India-China border.
The state emergency operation centre stated no lack of life or property has been reported within the landslide that happened at Jeori close to Rampur.
A video shared by Himachal Site visitors, Vacationer and Railways Police on social media reveals a mass of land sliding down a slope. Boulders may be seen tumbling down the slope amid a cloud of mud. Some automobiles, it seems, had a slender escape as they’re seen proper on the sting of the purpose the place the landslide occurred.

“DPCR has knowledgeable that an incident of landslide occurred close to Jeori- Sub-division Rampur District Shimla as a consequence of which NH-05 highway has been blocked. No human or property loss reported by the Authority involved but,” the state emergency operation centre stated in a bulletin, based on information company ANI.
The district administration has directed the Sub-Divisional Justice of the Peace, Rampur, and a police staff to evaluate the state of affairs.
