Watch: Railways Hero, Seen Saving Boy From Train, Gets Rousing Welcome

A railways official in Maharashtra, who risked his life to save a six-year-old boy who fell on the tracks as a practice was approaching the platform, acquired a rousing welcome from his colleagues and seniors for his act of heroism.

Mayur Shelke, who works as a pointsman, was seen in CCTV visuals, sprinting in direction of the kid on the rail tracks and pushing him on to the platform within the nick of time whereas a dashing practice was approaching the Vangani railway station in Maharashtra. Mr Shelke too managed to leap on to the platform simply in time. The station is about 90 km from Mumbai.

The incident passed off on Saturday night when the boy, who was accompanied by a girl, fell on the tracks once they have been strolling near the sting of the platform.

Railways employees on the Central Railway workplace in Mumbai stood on either side of a hall and clapped as Mr Shelke walked in. “All one of the best. Sustain the great work.
