Maharashtra: The migrant employees who had been strolling house slept on the tracks

Fifteen migrant employees had been run over by a cargo prepare in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district this morning, the railways has confirmed. The employees had been returning to Madhya Pradesh, information company PTI reported quoting an official.

The migrants who had been strolling alongside the tracks slept on the tracks close to Karmad, the official mentioned. They had been run over by the passing prepare at 5.15 am at present on the district 360 km from Mumbai.

The Railway Ministry tweeted the motive force tried to cease the prepare.

“During early hours today after seeing some labourers on track, loco pilot of goods train tried to stop the train but eventually hit them between Badnapur and Karmad stations in Parbhani-Manmad section. Injured have been taken to Aurangabad Civil Hospital. Inquiry has been ordered,” the Railway Ministry tweeted.

Though a number of states have been operating “Shramik” particular trains for migrants who have to return house for emergency causes, many have began strolling again on their very own.

“Railway Protection Force and the police have reached the accident site,” the general public relations officer of South Central Railway mentioned.
