The dad and mom of an 18-year-old man, who was diabetic and examined constructive for COVID-19 earlier than his dying in a authorities hospital in Kolkata, on Saturday alleged that he died due to negligence as he was refused a mattress by three medical services.

“Then we took him to a personal nursing residence. They performed Covid-19 check on him and after the end result got here out constructive, they stated there is no such thing as a mattress. And throughout this whole episode, we have been made to attend within the ambulance,” the father of the victim said.
Subhrajit’s mother said that government-run Sagar Dutta Hospital also denied him admission following which they informed the police who advised them to take him to the KMCH.
“Even after figuring out that my son was a COVID-19 affected person, the KMCH initially didn’t need to admit him. After my spouse threatened to commit suicide if they didn’t deal with him, they relented,” Subhrajit’s father said.
“My son was not given any medication on the KMCH. He was taken to some ward the place we had no entry. We stored on enquiring about his well being however no person helped us in any method.
When we went to the enquiry part, we got here to know that our son had died at round 9.30 pm,” he said.
This has happened because of negligence on the part of all these hospitals, he alleged.
“Had they admitted him and handled him on time, I feel our son would have survived. At the KMCH, he didn’t get any therapy,” he claimed.
