An 82-year-old girl, who’s a grandmother of three, has turn into the oldest paraglider in Sikkim, the Paragliding Affiliation of the state mentioned on Saturday.
Dukmit Lepcha took to the skies on October 28 from a paragliding level close to Aangi monastery at Ranka, which is a small city 20 km from capital Gangtok, sources mentioned.
The oldest paraglider registered by Sikkim Paragliding Affiliation earlier than Dumkit Lepcha was a 68-year-old man, sources in Paragliding Affiliation of Sikkim mentioned.
“The 82-year-old girl will encourage many to make Sikkim tourism a brand new journey vacation spot,” the Assistant Director, Journey at Sikkim Tourism and Civil Aviation Division, Manoj Chettri, mentioned.
Paragliding might be a very new product for vacationers and tour operators, he mentioned.
“It was such a nice expertise. I loved it and no I used to be not afraid. My granddaughter, who’s 17 years previous went earlier than me however she was a bit of scared. I didn’t tremble in any respect as a result of I needed to know what it feels wish to fly,” Ms Lepcha mentioned.
