In case you are Nitin Agarwal, you accept a dose of humour.
The tech-product reviewer took to Twitter and shared an image of a package deal he had ordered from the now-banned e-commerce portal Ali Express (a web-based retail service owned by the Chinese language MNC Ali Baba) which was delivered 4 years after the order.
Importing the image of the package deal on his Twitter deal with, the techie wrote, “By no means lose hope! So, I ordered this from Ali Specific (now banned in India) again in 2019 and the parcel was delivered right this moment.” The picture exhibits a package deal with some Chinese language captions.
The post gained 43.4K views and 690 likes. Some congratulated Agarwal for getting his package even if it was (very) late! Some of his followers advised him to check the expiry date of the product. “I ordered two merchandise in 2019 December. So I can hope it would get delivered sometime,” wrote a Twitter person. Some joked it would get delivered to his grandkids! One other commented that that they had ordered a product in 2018, but it surely was but to be delivered. One other quipped he’s but to obtain the voter ID card he ordered from India Publish.
India banned 54 Chinese language apps in 2020 over safety issues. These apps, together with Ali Baba, TikTok, Shareit, Mi Group, and so on. have been cited to be “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, safety of the state and public order”. Later about 224 Chinese language apps have been banned in India. The GOI (Authorities Of India) requested Google’s Play Retailer to dam the functions. This ban worsened the diplomatic ties between the 2 nations, which have been already feuding over a 2020 skirmish that triggered deaths within the armed forces from each side.
