Akhilesh Yadav Takes Holy Dip In Ganga On Makar Sankranti

Samajwadi social gathering chief Akhilesh Yadav took a dip within the Ganga river in Haridwar on the event of Makar Sankranti on Tuesday.

“Taking Maa Ganga’s blessing on Makar Sankranti pageant,” he mentioned in a put up on social media platform X and connected with it photos of him taking a dip within the river.

Although the previous Uttar Pradesh chief minister didn’t disclose the situation, social gathering sources mentioned he took the dip in Haridwar.

Requested whether or not he can be visiting the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Mr Yadav on Sunday mentioned he had visited the non secular congregation all the time.

“Some folks go to wash in Ganga to achieve ‘punya’ (advantage), some folks go to provide ‘daan’ (donate) and a few folks go to clean away their sins. We’ll go for ‘punya’ and for ‘daan,'” he had advised reporters.

In 2019, Mr Yadav had taken a shower in Prayagraj throughout Ardha Kumbh.
