After the mandatory ratifications/approvals/acceptances had been obtained from the requisite variety of ISA member international locations as mandated by the framework settlement, the modification has entered into pressure on January 8, 2021, the Ministry of Exterior Affairs (MEA) stated in an announcement.

The Worldwide Photo voltaic Alliance was launched collectively by the PM Modi and the French president through the 2015 United Nations Local weather Change Convention, or COP21, in Paris.

As on January 15 this 12 months, 89 international locations have signed the framework settlement of the ISA and of those, 72 have deposited their devices of ratification, it stated.
