Jammu and Kashmir authorities on Tuesday (June 17, 2025) declared the Amarnath yatra routes as ‘No Flying Zone’ as a part of beefed up safety measures for the annual pilgrimage.
The Amarnath yatra has two routes – the normal Pahalgam route and the shorter Baltal route.
The declaration issued by Jammu and Kashmir House Division on the orders of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated flying of any form of aviation platforms and gadgets, together with UAVs, drones, balloons, is prohibited from July 1 to August 10.
