Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned India is dedicated to taking “agency and decisive motion” towards terrorists and people who assist them, even because the neighbouring international locations ramp up actions towards one another amid tensions.
Throughout a joint press convention with Angolan President Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco, PM Modi mentioned terrorism is the largest menace for humanity.
His assertion comes as tensions between India and Pakistan proceed to mount after the April 22 Pahalgam terror assault, through which 26 civilians had died. The Resistance Entrance (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, had claimed accountability. Two of the 4 attackers had been confirmed to be Pakistani nationals.
After a Cupboard Committee on Safety assembly a day after the assault, PM Modi had warned that India would go away no stone unturned in searching for justice. “We’ll determine, hint, and punish each terrorist and their supporters. We’ll pursue them to the ends of the Earth,” he had mentioned.
In punitive measures, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, closed the Attari border, cancelled all visas issued to Pakistani nationals, initiated a sweeping crackdown on Pakistani YouTube channels and X handles, and downgraded diplomatic relations.
