Seven officers of the Indian Military are amongst 23 individuals named by the CBI in an investigation into corruption involving recruitment to the power.
The accused embody 17 military personnel and 6 others with “allegations pertaining to bribery and irregularities in recruitment of officers and different ranks via Service Choice Board”, the CBI stated.
The CBI stated the case was registered based mostly on a criticism from the workplace of Further Directorate Common, Self-discipline & Vigilance, Adjutant Common’s Department, Built-in HQ of Ministry of Defence (Military).
Searches have been carried out at this time at 30 locations together with Base Hospital, Cantonment, different military institutions, civilian areas protecting 13 cities, the CBI stated.
The places searched embody these in Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, Kapurthala, Bhathinda, Kaithal, Palwal, Bareili, Gorakhpur, Vishakhapatnam, Jorhat and Chirangon.
The searches led to the restoration of a number of incriminating paperwork that are being studied, the company stated.
