Amid the protests by army aspirants on the ‘Agnipath’ scheme, Mr Vijayvargiya had stated ‘Agniveers’ could be environment friendly and resourceful folks as soon as they return to society after army coaching.
“Self-discipline and following orders are ingrained in army coaching. As soon as they return from the four-year coaching, from 17-and-half years to 23 years, even when somebody joins at 21, the individual could be 25 when the tour of responsibility ends, have Rs 11 lakh in hand and an Agniveer badge, if I’ve to rent a safety guard for this BJP workplace, I’ll select an Agniveer,” Mr Vijayvargiya informed reporters.
BJP MP Varun Gandhi additionally tweeted a criticism of his celebration colleague over the “safety guard remark”.
“The good military…whose valour resonates throughout the entire world, will get an invite to be a chowkidar of a political workplace. Congratulations to the one who gave it. The Indian Military is a medium of service for Mom India, and never simply one other job,” Mr Gandhi tweeted.
