Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday knowledgeable that an order for one crore COVID-19 vaccine doses has been positioned for the third section of the vaccination drive starting Might 1.
Taking to Twitter, Yogi Adityanath mentioned, “Uttar Pradesh authorities has positioned an order for 1 crore doses of anti-COVID vaccines for the vaccination drive starting Might 1.
“An order of 50-50 lakh doses has been positioned for each indigenous vaccine producers. As well as, the dose shall be made out there by the Authorities of India. A complete motion plan is being ready on this regard,” he added.
The Centre on April 19 had introduced a “liberalised” coverage, making all above 18 years of age eligible to get vaccinated from Might 1. It has additionally allowed state governments and personal hospitals to buy vaccines from producers.
As per the central authorities, producers of Covid-19 vaccines shall be free to produce 50 per cent doses to state governments and within the open market, for which they must make an advance declaration of the worth earlier than Might 1.
