An on-duty visitors policeman was dragged on the street by an autorickshaw in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad metropolis after he tried to cease its driver for carrying extra variety of passengers than the automobile”s capability, an official mentioned on Friday.

The incident happened on Jalna Street within the metropolis on Thursday afternoon, wherein policeman Haseemuddin Shaikh suffered accidents on his proper leg, he mentioned.

“Shaikh was on responsibility at Excessive Court docket Sign on Jalna Street when he noticed an autorickshaw carrying extra variety of passengers than permitted,” the official mentioned.

Shaikh stopped the rickshaw and sat on its rear seat. He requested the motive force to take the automobile by the roadside, he added.
