West Bengal Floods: A minimum of 23 individuals died and a number of other lakh individuals have been displaced.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday carried out an aerial survey of flood-hit areas of Udaynarayanpur in Howrah district on her option to Jhargram, an official stated on the state secretariat.
Ms Banerjee, the official stated, is “very a lot sad” over Damodar Valley Company releasing “extreme water” resulting in the flood state of affairs.
She is prone to conduct an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas of Ghatal in Paschim Medinipur district on Tuesday, they stated.
A minimum of 23 individuals have misplaced their lives and a number of other lakh individuals have been displaced in seven districts of Bengal within the flood which Ms Banerjee has described as “man-made”. She has held DVC chargeable for releasing “extreme water” from its dams resulting in the state of affairs.
A number of south Bengal districts like Howrah and Hoogly had witnessed heavy monsoon rainfall final week. She visited flood-affected Amta and her plan to go to close by Udaynarayanpur needed to be dropped as a consequence of heavy rains.
