BigBasket acquires Kerala-based startup Agrima Infotech


New Delhi: Tata Group-owned etailer BigBasket on Saturday introduced that it has acquired the enterprise enterprise unit of a deep-tech firm Agrima Infotech in a bid to revolutionise offline retail.

BigBasket can be implementing Kochi-based startup Agrima Infotech’s distinctive buyer imaginative and prescient know-how platform, Psyight, on the self-checkout counters of the previous’s retail shops.

Psyight, created by Anoop Balakrishnan, Arun Ravi and Nikhil Dharman below Agrima Infotech, helps determine all Indian fruit and veggies uniquely from a picture with out utilizing barcodes.

Agrima Infotech cofounder and CEO Balakrishnan mentioned his startup becoming a member of arms with BigBasket will redefine the offline purchasing expertise within the nation.
