Bihar Man Throws Baby Into Fire After Her Mother Opposes Sexual Harassment Bid: Police

Muzaffarpur, Bihar:

A person allegedly threw a three-month-old child lady into hearth in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district on Sunday after her mom protested in opposition to his sexual advances, police mentioned.

The newborn obtained extreme burn accidents in her legs and he or she is being handled on the Sadar Hospital, they mentioned.

The incident occurred within the Bochahan police station space when the lady was sitting outdoors her house close to a bonfire, police mentioned.

The person sat beside the lady and tried to sexually harass her, in opposition to which she protested, they mentioned.

Following this, the person snatched the infant from the lady’s lap and threw her into the hearth, inflicting extreme burn accidents to the infant, police mentioned.

Police official Baidyanath Singh mentioned {that a} case has been lodged in
reference to the incident.

The person has been booked below IPC sections 307 (try and homicide), 354 (assault or prison power to lady with intent to outrage her modesty), 323 (punishment for voluntarily inflicting harm) and 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), the officer mentioned.

An investigation is on, he added.

The lady’s husband alleged that the native police station didn’t lodge a case at first, following which he approached senior police official Jayant Kant.
