BJP Chief Seeks Case Towards Uddhav Thackeray Over Yogi Adityanath Comment

A BJP chief on Wednesday submitted an utility demanding registration of an FIR towards Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray alleging he had referred to as for beating his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath with chappals for “insulting” Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj throughout his speech at a Dussehra rally of Shiv Sena.

The complainant, Yavatmal district BJP president Nitin Bhutada, urged the police to register a First Info Report (FIR) towards Mr Thackeray, who heads Shiv Sena, and take authorized motion towards him for his “provocative” speech.

The criticism utility was submitted on the Umerkhed police station.

A police officer confirmed receipt of the applying from the BJP chief.

The criticism said that Mr Thackeray used “provocative and filthy language” towards Hindutva chief Yogi Adityanath throughout his Dussehra speech on October 25, 2020.

“Thackeray had stated that how can a Yogi develop into a CM? He ought to go and sit in a cave. He (Yogi) needs to be slapped along with his chappal (footwear). Yogi has insulted Shivaji Maharaj. Yogi lacked the standing to go close to Shivaji Maharaj. Yogi needs to be overwhelmed along with his chappal when he involves Maharashtra….would have hit Yogi with chappal,” the applying quoted Thackeray as saying.

It stated the remarks made by Mr Thackeray had the potential to set off unrest and riots in society.

Mr Bhutada stated the BJP will file extra complaints towards CM Thackeray at varied police stations in Maharashtra.

Notably, the BJP submitted the applying for registration of FIR towards the Maharashtra chief minister a day after Union minister and BJP MP Narayan Rane was booked and arrested for utilizing offensive language towards Thackeray.

The Union minister was arrested on Tuesday afternoon from Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district following his remarks made throughout his ”Jan Ashirwad Yatra” in Raigad on Monday that he would have slapped Chief Minister Thackeray for what he claimed because the latter’s ignorance of the 12 months of India’s independence.

Mr Rane’s feedback had set off protests by Shiv Sainiks in lots of cities in Maharashtra.
