BJP candidate C Okay Ramamurthy received the Jayanagar seat in Karnataka by a slender margin of 16 votes in opposition to his Congress rival Soumya Reddy on Saturday, officers stated.
“The consequence was introduced by the officers on the Counting Centre at S S M R V Faculty in Jayanagar late tonight,” a state Info Division official stated in an announcement.
Because the victory margin was too slim, Ramamurthy had demanded recounting of votes.
Pressure prevailed on the R V Institute of Administration in Jayanagar the place the counting was going down because the Congress state president D Okay Shivakumar together with state unit working president Ramalinga Reddy, who can also be the daddy of Sowmya Reddy, and plenty of different leaders staged an indication outdoors the polling sales space, demanding justice.
