The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation mentioned that it has alerted the hearth division after receiving complaints of a suspected gasoline leak from residents in Chembur, Ghatkopar, Kanjurmarg, Vikhroli and Powai.
In a collection of tweets, the BMC mentioned that 13 fireplace home equipment have been activated to observe the scenario as a precaution and that the hearth brigade is investigating the complaints.

According to India Today, “Officials with the fire department said that when personnel were dispatched to the areas, they could also smell gas in varying measure.”
