Boy, 17, Dies After Slipping Into Pond While Taking Selfie In UP: Police

Gurugram:

A 17-year-old boy, who was attempting to take a selfie alongside along with his mates by standing on the fringe of a 25-feet deep pond on the event of Holi, died after falling into the water physique on Friday, police mentioned.

Inspector Dinkar, SHO, Badshahpur, mentioned the boy’s want to click on a “excellent selfie” on Holi value him his life.

In accordance with police, Rahul, Lalit and one other good friend posed for the selfie by standing on the fringe of the village pond after forming a series by holding arms.

Rahul and Lalit slipped and fell into the pond, whereas the third individual jumped into the water to avoid wasting the duo. He, nonetheless, may solely pull out Lalit.

The physique of Rahul was later fished out by police.
